Full access to all the features on the website including local and international market data (some 15 min delayed), news, comprehensive charting, fundamental data on every listed company, consensus broker forecasts, research, portfolios and watchlists with 15 min delayed prices, immediate trade confirmations and alerts via e-mail or SMS, unlimited watchlists as well as the ability to buy and sell listed equities and warrants. On the Trading page iTrade clients will get live prices with market depth (best 5 bids and offers with volumes). Free live prices are limited to 133 per month – see "Other Costs".

iTrade Pro clients have all the features of iTrade clients plus they will have unlimited live prices. Clients can then view their portfolios, watchlists and MAPS with live prices as often as they want, unlimited. Please see "Other Cost" for excess charges.

Monthly Fee waived

Not applicable.

The first month or part thereof is free. If the brokerage fee in a month exceeds R300, the monthly fee is waived. (That is equal to only one trade of R40,000 or four trades at the minimum brokerage fee of R99)

If the brokerage fee in that month exceeds R700, the monthly fee is waived. (That is equal to only one trade of R120,000 or any eight trades at the minimum brokerage fee.)

Broking Fee:

No trading allowed.

R0 to R50,000 = 0.70% of value of transaction.

Taxes:

Securities Transfer Tax (STT) at 0.25% is charged on the value of purchases only. On all trades there is a Strate fee (SET) of 0.005459% based on the value of the share transaction with a minimum of R10.92 and a maximum of R54.59. An investor protection levy of 0.0002% also applies to all trades. VAT is charged on all of the above and the broking fee, but not on STT.

Other Costs:

Excess live prices and SMS Charges – Included in the monthly fee is a credit of R12 to your Excess Bank Account (EBA). The cost of live prices is 9c per live price and that includes market depth (5 best bids and offers in the market with the volumes bid and offered). Your EBA will be debited with 9c for every live price you view. You will also be charged 35c for every SMS alert sent to you. Trade confirmations via SMS are sent automatically and are free of charge. This means that you will be able to view 133 live prices or receive 34 SMS alerts or a combination of live prices and SMS alerts for free every month.

SMS Charges – Included in the monthly fee is a credit of R12 to your Excess Bank Account (EBA). iTrade Pro clients get unlimited live prices at no additional cost. Your EBA will be debited with 35c for every SMS alert sent to you. Trade confirmations via SMS are sent automatically and are free of charge. This means that you will be able to receive 34 SMS alerts for free every month.

Buying and Selling

Click on Buy/Sell in the Top Nav Bar. Type in the share or warrant code (see Code Lookup) and click on Get Data. If you clicked on a "Hot Link" the code will automatically be entered. On the right you will see the live price (not delayed) and trading information including the best 5 bids and offers with their volumes; plus the last 10 transactions.
