Global Trader is wholly owned by JSE listed South African financial services group, Purple Capital (JSE:PPE) (www.purplecapital.co.za) and is run by a group of market professionals who share a common goal to redefine trading. Applying their extensive financial backgrounds with leading global investment banks and software houses, the business blends institutional grade products and sophisticated risk management with strong retail experience to provide the perfect destination for high-end private client business. Global Trader has no access to your funds. Your funds are segregated from Global Trader's funds. Customer accounts are held in a local bank in ZAR, ensuring exceptional fund stability in the current economic climate.
Global Traders is a registered financial services provider and is also a “financial institution” as defined in the Financial Institutions (Protection of Funds) Act 28 of 2001. Section 4 (5) of the Financial Institutions (Protection of Funds) Act provides that all trust money held by financial institutions as defined does not form part of the assets or funds of the financial institution concerned. In addition, there is common law protection for client’s funds held in a ring-fenced manner. However, please seek the independent advice of your financial or legal advisor as our opinion herein is not a warranty, guarantee or representation.

Frustrated by traditional stock brokers and larger financial institutions that are slow to innovate?
If you are looking for fast and flexible, if you want more control of your investments, if you want VIP support no matter what the size of your portfolio, then Global Trader is the place for you.
You won't find innovation and rapid response to new market opportunities at a traditional broker. Their clients are comfortable with the old world of stock broking, and so that's what their brokers give them.
You won't find flexible and new approaches to market opportunities at a large institution. Like big ships that are slow to turn around, they are restricted by weighty factors such as their legacy of systems for policy, process and procedure, by their aversion to risk and by their tendency to operate in silos. And if you are a small investor, it's not worth their while to look after you.
