It is essential that you read and understand our terms and conditions in respect of Margin Calls. 

Please note that if the following should occur we are entitled (without giving notice to you) to close all open positions on your account and cancel all orders:

  • If your Total Equity expressed as a percentage of your Margin Requirement is 25% or less; (i.e. Total Equity divided by Margin Requirement multiplied by 100)

It takes approximately 4 to 6 days for funds you have transferred to be allocated to your account, so it is advisable to keep adequate funds in your account in case of this eventuality.

How to Fund your Global Trader International Account:

South Africa is governed by Exchange control and you will therefore be required to apply for approval from the South African reserve Bank to move funds offshore.

As a South African Citizen you are entitled to a foreign investment allowance. The maximum amount of money that can be transferred in a year is ZAR 4 000 000.00. In order to make use of this allowance you will need attain a Tax Clearance certificate.

Should you already have you tax clearance certificate you can make the application at any of South Africa’s Banks.

Follow the process below in order

to deposit funds into your Global Trader International account:

  • On FX accounts, we require a  minimum deposit of USD 200

  • On FX, CFD and Spread Betting accounts, we require a minimum deposit of USD 2500

There are 4 easy steps to follow:

1.       Tax Clearance for South African Reserve Bank

a.       Complete and Sign a FIA 001 Form

b.      Submit to your local tax office

·         Note – Exchange4 free will obtain your tax clearance and cover the cost for amounts over ZAR 250 000.00

 

2.       South African Reserve Bank Authorization

a.       Complete & sign MP1423 form

b.      The following fields must be completed – Application Information, ID Number , Title , Surname , First Name , tax Information, Income Tax reference, Amount of money you may have previously moved oversees

c.       Sign and date the form

 

3.       Complete a Balance of payments form

a.       Complete all fields that have a pre-filled explanation only

b.      Initial bottom page 1

c.       Sign and Date , Bottom of page 2

4.       FICA Documents

a.       Certified Copy of your South African ID Book

b.      Certified Copy of your  Proof of Residence (Utility Bill or Bank Statement Not older than 3 months)

When depositing your funds, please ensure that you include your User Name and ID (which you will receive with all your details via automated Email on the successful registration of your account).
